Crunch games in All-County Leagues in Donegal this Saturday evening

The battle for survival in Division 1 of the All County League will be to the fore when Glenfin travel to Pairc na nGael, Glencolmcille on Saturday evening to take on Naomh Columba.

Glenfin’s surprise heavy defeat of Kilcar on Sunday last gave their survival chances a real boost. A win in Glen would guarantee their place in the top flight in 2025.

On the other hand, Naomh Colulmba have survival in their own hands also because wins against Glenfin on Saturday and another in their final game away to St Michael’s would also secure their status.

Throw in St Michael’s, who are away to Kilcar this week, and home to Naomh Columba in the final game, and you have the final part of the jigsaw. It looks like being an exciting final few weeks. Aodh Ruadh are not out of the fire and may have to win their final game away to Bundoran to stay in the top flight. 

Four Masters are on track for promotion in Division 2 but must travel to Milford on Saturday evening.  Killybegs, who have slipped up in recent weeks, Buncrana, Termon and Milford are still in the mix.

At the bottom Red Hughs and Na Rossa are running out of road. St Naul’s have both of those to play and that might help them survive. There is a big game in Ardara on Saturday evening as they host Cloughaneely.

In Division 3, St Mary’s, Convoy were promoted last week and who will be going up alongside them automatically will be decided on Saturday evening when Carndonagh host Naomh Brid.
