The man who was killed in a work-related accident in Donegal has been named locally as Anthony Devlin.
A native of Dun Na Ri Slavery, Buncrana, Mr Devlin, who was in his 30s, passed away at the scene on Tuesday in Illies. It is understood that he sustained fatal injuries while carrying out mechanical work.
“The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem will take place in due course,” An Garda Siochana told DonegalLive this morning. “The HSA (Health Safety Authority) has been notified and is conducting their own investigation.”
Anthony was a father of two and was engaged to be married. Condolences have been shared on RIP.ie. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving fiancé Grainne, his cherished sons Joe and Odhran, his loving parents Philip and Una, his sisters Tara, Tina, and Leanne, brother-in-law Ian, his granny Annie Devlin, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and his many friends and the wider family circle.
Anthony’s remains will be leaving the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Letterkenny, F92 XE35 today at 4pm and going to his parents Philip and Una's home Sarida, Ballymagan, Buncrana.
Anthony’s remains will be reposing from 11am on Thursday. The funeral from the family home at 10am on Saturday, going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11 am Requiem Mass with Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
