Illies Golden Gloves' Cahir Gormley (right) has won through to the U22 semi-finals
Donegal boxers Alex McAleer and Cahir Gormley have reached semi-finals of the National U22 Championships.
Ballyshannon Boxing Club's McAleer is through to the last four in the 63.5kgs division while Gormley, representing Illies Golden Gloves, is into the semis at 71kgs.
McAleer stopped Edenmore's Dylan O'Loughlin in a quarter-final on Friday night at the National Stadium.
McAleer was on top and stopped O'Loughlin in the third round.
Ballyshannon BC man McAleer will take on Joshua Tumama from Dublin Docklands in a semi-final.
Tumama overcame Justin Cheng from Mitchelstown in his opener.
Gormley had been slated to face Cody Lee Peoples from Flow Academy, but Peoples withdrew on Saturday morning to hand the Illies GG puncher a walkover.
Gormley will now face Bobbi Flood after the Cabra man took a 4-1 split decision against Jon McConnell from Holy Trinity BC in Belfast.
