Darina Friel with the Naomh Colmcille team that won the Ulster Championship in 2017
Darina Friel won this week's Naomh Colmcille lotto. She won €11,250.
Darina is heavily involved with the club being the chairperson in 2017 when the team won the Ulster championship.
She is still involved in the club this year being the assistant coach to the under 10’s girls team and helping look after the other volunteers.
“I’m still on a high,” says Darina.
“I was doing a job for my mother in law when I got a call from the club treasurer Kelly Ann, I jokingly said I’m assuming your calling to tell me I won the club lotto. Kelly Ann jokingly laughed and said yes.”
The Friel Family
Darina would like to thank everyone who has sent her congratulations and to wish the under 18 boys the best of luck in the county final on Friday August 2.
If you wish to get involved with the club they have all age groups from under 10 to seniors and an under 10 to under 16 level for girls. There is also an academy available on Monday evenings for four to eight year olds.
