Paula McGrory struck two first-half goals for Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds

Sligo Rovers ran out 5-0 winners against Dublin’s Terenure Rangers at the Showgrounds in the last 16 of the Women’s FAI Cup, with four of their goals coming from Buncrana natives.

Terenure Rangers arrived in the Yeats County following their 2-1 victory in the Women’s FAI Amateur Cup final last Sunday against Whitehall Rangers at the Belfield Bowl, adding to their success in the competition having defeated Bonagee United in the final 12 months ago in Galway.

However, Paula McGrory struck two first-half goals for Sligo to leave it 2-0 at the break and then in the second half Jodie Loughrey made it three on 63 minutes before her sister Keri added a fourth just five minutes later.  Rebecca Doddy completed the win in the last minute.
