Met Éireann has issued a status orange rain warning for Donegal.
The status orange weather alert comes into place at midnight and is valid until 10am on Monday.
Met Éireann say that flooding is expected and have warned of “very difficult driving conditions” with poor visibility.
Donegal is one of three counties issued with the status orange warning with Galway and Mayo also included.
Earlier, a status yellow warning was issued for six counties – Donegal, Clare, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. That warning is said to be valid for 24 hours from 1pm on Sunday.
