Donegal Gardai have issued a plea for motorists to slow down after one driver was clocked at 166km/h on Friday.
Gardai from the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit detected a car travelling at 166km/h on a road governed by a speed limit of 100km/h.
The driver was arrested and charged to appear in court at a later date.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Keep a constant eye on your speed this Bank Holiday weekend and every time you drive. Slow down. Help prevent tragedies on the roads.”
