Finn Harps U-14 Boys side were able to celebrate a great Galway Cup win over Leeds United on Saturday when they lifted the Super Elite trophy with a great win over the famous Yorkshire side. 

A brace from young star Odhran McHugh – who also won Player of the Tournament for his performances over the five days - secured Harps the title in a 2-1 victory, with the Donegal man bagging a brace. 

Harps’ Lukas Doherty also provided a player of the match performance, while Jack O’Donnell was given the privilege of lifting the trophy high for the Donegal side after full-time in what were joyous scenes in Galway. 

Elsewhere, the 2011 Finn harps side were also successful at the prestigious Galway cup as they secured the Elite title in dramatic fashion as they came from a goal down to overcome Dundalk DSBL. 

Charlie O’Donnell and Josh O’Donnell were the goalscorers, while James Lafferty, Danny Friel and Oscar Doherty shared the Player of the Match.  

Josh O’Donnell Josh O’Donnell captained the side and picked up the U-13 Player of the Tournament.
