Car caught diffing on Muff main street

Social media footage shows two cars diffing on Muff main street

On Wednesday evening a concerned local filmed two cars diffing as they came out of the R239 Buncrana road at Maxol petrol station and onto the main road in Muff.

There were cars already on the main road that had to stop to allow the drivers complete their diffing.

Some residents were concerned as there are young children that would walk on that footpath if they wanted to cross the road to get to Maxol.

Councillor Terry Crossan first became aware of the incident on social media of a car doing some very dangerous manoeuvres at the junction while there was traffic waiting.

He has reported to the Gardaí and encouraged them to go to the Spar as they will have CCTV to potentially identify either the drivers or the cars.

“It is a disgrace and I strongly condemn it,” said Terry Crossan.

“I have received numerous complaints over the summer of it being done in built up areas. It’s a disgrace it happened on the main street near the garage.”
