Carndonagh chalked up another big win in the Junior A championship with Sunday’s comfortable victory over Robert Emmets in Emmet Park Castlefin.
Leading by eight points on a 0-10 to 0-2 point scoreline at the break, Carndonagh pulled away in the second period and outscored the locals 1-8 to 0-1 in a one-sided encounter.
Cian Doherty top-scored for the Inishowen men and one of the club championship favourites, with Doherty ending the game with a personal tally of eight points with four of them from frees.
Ryan Kelly scored the goal while Cian Burke, Donal Doherty, Anthony Doherty, Feargal Doherty, Padraig Doherty, and John O’ Callaghan were also among the scorers for Michael O’Donnell’s side.
On another tough outing for Robert Emmets, Dylan McNamee and Sean Maguire were their scorers.
