Carndonagh’s Cache Crumlish named NIWFA Player of the Season for 2024

Carndonagh woman and Sion Swifts player Cache Crumlish has picked up the award for player of the season for 2024 in the Northern Ireland Women’s Football Association Championship. 

The award was presented at the annual NIWFA event in the Hilton Hotel Belfast. 

The Sion Swifts player moved from Carndonagh FC in 2022 and this year has been a fantastic season for the club as they completed a league and cup double in the NIWFA Championship. 

The team won 15 out of 18 league games this season finishing on 46 points, with the Tyrone team only dropping points in three games this season when they drew one match and lost two. 

There were six Donegal players on the squad, with Bronagh Gallaher, Caoimhe Heron, Zoe Green, Keisha Friel, Hannah Gibson, Kerry McCready and Ella McCarron joining Crumlish, on the team.
