Stephen Robb, announced as a new presenter on Ear To The Ground
Newtowncunningham tillage farmer Stephen Robb has been announced as a new presenter on Ear To The Ground.
RTÉ’s farming and rural affairs programme, Ear to the Ground, returns for its 32nd season, next Thursday, October 31, at 7pm on RTÉ One.
Robb, is an active farmer on a tillage farm in Newtowncunningham.
With a degree in Agribusiness Management from UCD and a Masters in Agricultural Innovation he has particular knowledge of everything to do with bioenergy.
For the last seven years, he has worked as a journalist with the Irish Farmers Journal, where he primarily writes on renewable energy. In addition to his print work, Robb is a frequent expert contributor to radio and television.
He will partner with returning presenters Darragh McCullough and Ella McSweeney.
Ear To The Ground deals with the big issues of the day – as they relate to farming and rural life – from climate change to succession, from farmer protests to water quality, from derogation to TB Eradication.

The programme also tells some very personal stories, from domestic abuse to drug addiction, from bipolar disorder to loneliness, from immigration to business loss – all through a farming and rural lens.
Among those to feature in the new season will be a Syrian man who has found a new home in Donegal, where he has built a thriving business as a beekeeper.
