Eamon McGee
The Irish Freedom Party’s Eamon McGee is a father of two. He says he chose to run because “this country is changing fast, and we need people to stand up for what is right and especially speak up for the most vulnerable in our society, including our children”.
His main concerns include addressing the housing crisis, reducing immigration, and, hosting a safer and protected future for all children.
The Irish Freedom Party candidate, stated in his election leaflet, stated: “Our children need a future where they can afford to buy a house, and not feel the need to emigrate. We are facing one of the worst housing crises ever, and proper solutions desperately need to be found.”
He is passionate about the country as a whole and shares the belief that we need to stop answering to the EU's Political Union, and instead, show Irish people they are good enough to decide their own laws.
In terms of spending, he wants to lower taxes for Irish workers, cut the carbon tax, and increase the incomes of farmers and fishermen alike. If elected, he wants to strictly limit immigration because “our country is not for sale”, along with legislating to stop non-EU nationals from buying property in Ireland, stating in his election leaflet: “We will stop the discrimination against Irish citizens in current planning law.”
He also rejects, what he calls on his election leaflet, “state indoctrination of our children with transsexual and gender ideology”.
He also promises to “put more money in the pocket of Irish workers”, and will “make it easier for young Irish couples to get married, have children, and build a future in Ireland”.
The Convoy man, who owns a window cleaning business says he will support the rights of parents to be the primary educators of their children, upholding their natural rights as recognised by the Irish Constitution. Mr McGee says he will seek to enhance biodiversity and reduce pollution while rejecting climate alarmism. He will also protect Irish farming and rural Ireland.
