The fire broke out at around 5pm
Firefighters are battling a blaze at a historic mill in Moville.
Fire crews rushed to the scene of a fire at the Gulladuff Mills just outside the town.
Firefighters from across the Inishowen peninsula fought to keep the flames from other properties in the vicinity.
There are no reports of any injuries.
It is understood that the fire broke out at around 5pm and flames illuminated the night sky for miles. Firefighters were still at the scene at 9pm.
“They will be there for a while yet,” a source told Donegal Live.
The Guladuff Mills site is on the R238 road between Moville to Carndonagh road. The building has been derelict for some time now and has asbestos in the roof.
Originally built around 1840 as a corn mill, the mill was extended on at least one occasion during the second half of the 19th century.
It had been one of the largest surviving early industrial complexes on the Inishowen peninsula.
