Leila Speer, née Patterson, Ramelton and Canada
The death has taken place in Vancouver, Canada of Leila Speer, née Patterson, wife of the late William Speer, formerly of Cashelshanaghan, Ramelton.
Daughter of the late Samuel John and Isa Patterson. Predeceased by her sisters Sadie Mitchell and Millie Mitchell also her brother Jim Patterson.; lovingly remembered by her son Ren, daughter-in-law Marilyn, grandson Brendan and Danna. Cherished sister of Isabel Hanna (Armagh), brother Mervyn Patterson and his wife Zoe (Portstewart), brother Winston Patterson and his wife Cynthia (Ballindrait) and sister-in-law Wendy, wife of the late Jim Patterson (Castlefin).
A service of Thanksgiving for her life will take place in Donoughmore Presbyterian Church, Castlefinn, F93DK40 on Sunday, February 9 at 2.30pm.
Bernie Cecilia Doherty, Donegal Town and Louth
The death has taken place peacefully at Kilbrew, Demesne, Ashbourneof Bernie Cecelia Doherty, 33 Oaklawns, Dundalk County Louth and formerly of Donegal Town.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas John and Elizabeth Doherty, her sisters Margaret Mc Brearty, Eilis Kelly, Grainne O'Doherty, Frances O'Neill and brothers Tommy Doherty and Gene Doherty; she is sadly missed by her sister Sr Paula Doherty, brother-in-law Bert O'Neill, nieces, nephews, and all her relatives neighbours and friends.
Her remains will repose at Tir Conal Funeral Home, Donegal Town on Monday from 2pm to 6pm. Removal from there to St Patrick's Church Donegal Town ariving at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
Geraldine Greene, Ballyshannon
The death has taken place suddenly at home, of Geraldine Greene, née Rooney, 68 St Benildus Avenue, Ballyshannon.
Beloved wife of Francis (Buddy) and adored mother of David (Colleen) and Stephanie (Ciaran). Geraldine will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving family, her husband, son, daughter, her beloved grandchildren Keith, Erin and Bethany her sister Christina McGrath (Packie R.I.P), her nephew Shane (Deirdre), niece Caroline McNamara (Dessie), and all her relatives, great neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Packie and Dora Rooney, baby son Keith and grandson Nathan.
Reposal of her remains continues at Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Sunday from 5pm to 7pm where all are welcome to attend.
The funeral cortége will depart her late residence on Monday afternoon at 12.40pm to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Removal afterwards to St Mary’s Cemetery, Cashelard for burial service. The funeral Mass can be viewed live here.
Willie (Liam) Kelly, Newbuildings and Kerrykeel
The death has taken place at his home of Willie (Liam) Kelly, 56 Stoneypath, Newbuildings and formerly of Kerrykeel.
Beloved husband of Mary, much-loved father of Malachy, Rosalynn and Ashling, father-in-law of Sinead, Jonny and Dave, dearly loved grandfather of Piper, Jack, Ryan and Niamh and brother of Teresa, Eamon and the late Michael and Anthony.
His remains are reposing at his home.
Family time please from 9pm to 12 noon.
Funeral leaving his home on Monday at 10.45am for Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral at 11.30am. Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam

Ita Friel, Letterkenny and Creeslough
The death has taken place of Ita Friel, Hillcrest Nursing Home/Maples Lismonaghan, Letterkenny and formerly of Creeslough.
Sadly missed by her loving brothers and sisters Nora, John F, Mary, Columba, Michael, Cathal, Bernie, and Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her loving parents John and Tessie and brother Ciaran.
Viewing will take place at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Sunday, February 2 from 3m to 5pm, followed by removal to St Michael’s Church, Creeslough for 5.45pm to repose overnight.
Funeral Mass in St Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Monday, February 3 at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in Doe Graveyard. Funeral Mass can be viewed live here.

Michael Stewart, Laghey
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Michael Stewart, Woodvale Lodge, Laghey, and formerly of Earl Street, Longford and Portnoo.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Claire, son Alan (Maria), daughters Tara (Jim) and Emily (Bryan), grandchildren James, Lorcan, Grace, Bradley, Flynn, Honor and Annelie, brothers Dermot, Gerald and Brian, sisters Honor and Mary, brother-in-law Malachy Mc Closkey, sisters-in-law Margaret and Margot, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
His remains reposed overnight at St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town.
Funeral mass on Sunday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Clar Cemetery. House private please.
Margaret Davin, Rathmullan
The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Margaret (Marie) Davin, Ballyboe, Rathmullan and formerly Curraheen, Ahenny, Carrick-On-Suir, County Tipperary and Belldyke, Larbert, Scotland.
Predeceased by her parents Will and Ellen, brothers William, Neddy and Pat and her sister Maura, she is deeply regretted by her life long friend Annie Thompson, her nephews and nieces, extended family and many friends.
Marie’s remains are reposing at her late residence.
Requiem Mass takes place at 9am on Sunday in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan. Interment in Rosegreen Cemetery, Rosegreen, Cashel, County Tipperary on Monday, at 12 noon.

Daniel Gallagher, Dunlewey and Florida
The death has taken place in Florida of Daniel Gallagher (Danny Darby), originally of Dunlewey, Gweedore.
Predeceased by his wife Mary, grandson John Preputnik, brothers Hughie and Dermot and infant sister Mary; sadly missed by his son Brian (Karen), daughters Margaret, Ann (Dave), Deirdre (John), Pauline (Carmen), grandchildren Sean, Brendan, Kevin, Terence, Daniel, Erin, Sarah, Annie, Christopher, Connor, Michaela, Colleen and Liam, sister Nellie, brothers Michael and Patrick and extended family and friends.
Funeral Mass takes place in the Sacred Heart Church Dunlewey on Sunday at 12 noon with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director’s Facebook page.
