Marksman: How the Donegal players fared against Galway in Salthill

On a really difficult day for football at the windswept Galway City venue, Pearse Stadium, the new-look Donegal side were unable to make up the 16 point half-time deficit with Shane Walsh really on song for the home side

Donegal won the toss in Pearse Stadium and elected to play against the gale force wind. Galway took advantage of the gale to lead by 0-17 to 0-1 at the break with Shane Walsh on fire. Donegal were just not able to bridge the gap. The performance from Donegal was not a match for their first three games and Marksman reflects that.
