Heavy rain for Donegal today with spot flooding possible and the chance of thunder

Windy today in Donegal with widespread showers or longer spells of rain.

The rain will be heavy at times, with spot flooding possible and the chance of thunder. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds, reaching gale force at times along coasts.

Widespread showers and longer spells of rain will continue early on tonight, before gradually easing and becoming more isolated by morning with clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds, easing light to moderate overnight.

A dry and bright start to the day tomorrow with just isolated showers. Cloud will build from the southwest through the afternoon with outbreaks of rain spreading northeastwards later in the evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
