There will be showers along Atlantic coasts, some showers may be heavy with the chance of hail or isolated thunderstorms

Today, Friday, in Donegal will be dry for most with plenty of sunny spells and partly cloudy skies.

There will be some isolated showers along Atlantic coasts. Some showers may be heavy with the chance of hail or isolated thunderstorms. Highs of 6 to 8 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds, stronger near coasts.

Tonight will see a mix of clear spells and scattered showers, these mainly over western parts. The showers will become isolated through the night. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Rain and drizzle will spread from the Atlantic through the morning. The rain will be persistent through the day, turning heavy at times, mainly in western parts. Afternoon highs of 8 to 10 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds.
