The Donegal hurlers have been propelled onto the McGurk Cup final after a coin toss with Jordanstown fell their way. 

Mickey McCann’s side was supposed to travel to Belfast on Sunday to take on the students in their own back yard however it’s now been revealed that game won’t be going ahead. 

And a flip of a coin earlier this afternoon sees Donegal advance. Last weekend’s cold snap played havoc with the pre-season competition with many of the original scheduled fixtures decided by flips of a coin. 

Donegal’s quarter-final clash with Tyrone did go ahead on Thursday evening at the GAA Centre in Convoy with the hosts winning on penalties after the contest had ended all square at 3-16 apiece.
