Club-by-Club guide to the Donegal Intermediate Championship

Cloughaneely were last year's Donegal IFC winners having lost their previous two finals and they leave behind a competition so fierce few can be confident of picking a winner. Here's the hopefuls

Malin
Manager: Michael Byrne
Last year championship: Made the IFC quarter-finals and lost out to Cloughaneely.
This year's AFCL: First in Division 2 but lost out in league final
First two opponents: Naomh Muire away; Burt home
Prospects: It has been a very good season for the Malin team, very consistent accumulating 23 points from their 14 games. Despite losing the league final to a dramatic late goal, they go into the championship on a high and will be expected to make the quarter-finals with ease. Must be rated among the favourites.
Star man: Christy McLaughlin
