See Barry Keoghan in head-to-toe houndstooth for Burberry’s fashion show

Barry Keoghan made a style statement at Burberry’s London Fashion Week show.

Dublin-born Keoghan – known for his star-making turns in The Banshees Of Inisherin and Calm With Horses – attended the spring/summer 2024 show wearing a head-to-toe houndstooth look.

The monochromatic ensemble was made up of a hooded jacket, slouchy trousers and white trainers. Houndstooth is a classic pattern and the streetwear-inspired silhouette helped give this look an edge.

Keoghan watched British designer Daniel Lee unveil his second London Fashion Week collection as Burberry’s creative director, after taking over from Riccardo Tisci in September 2022.

After choosing Kennington Park as the location for his first show, Lee settled on another green space for this season – setting up a large tent with a green Burberry check on top in Highbury Fields, north London.

Keoghan – who recently featured in the final season of hit Netflix show Top Boy – was not the only star in attendance.

He was joined by fellow Top Boy actors Micheal Ward and Kano, all dressed in full Burberry looks.

Padam Padam singer Kylie Minogue was also front row, wearing a green trench coat while Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, former long-distance runner Mo Farah and model Rosie Huntington-Whitely with actor husband Jason Statham were also in attendance.

The collection itself was a much more classic take on the Burberry aesthetic. Lee’s first season received mixed reviews – with some arguing he strayed from the brand’s DNA and introduced too many quirky elements such as woollen hats that looked like ducks and hot water bottles used as bags.

For this collection, Lee put the focus on Burberry’s signature product: the trench coat. Alongside more traditional cuts, he reimagined the style in multiple ways – with sleeveless versions, cropped styles and a bomber-trench hybrid.

Elsewhere on the runway, floral and checked gowns had scooped backs and an emphasis was put on chic accessories – including oversized belt bags, under-arm handbags and glittering clutches.
