An investigation has been launched after the body of a man aged in his 80s was found in Co Sligo on Monday.
At around 11.10pm on Monday, emergency services attended the scene where a man was found unresponsive on a road at Church Lane in Enniscrone.
He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is to be arranged in due course.
The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
Gardai are appealing to anyone with information or camera footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
