A man is in a serious condition in hospital following an assault in Kildare.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident that occurred in Kildare town in the early hours of Sunday.
A man was found unresponsive on McGee Terrace at approximately 3.15am.
A gardai spokesperson said: “The male, aged in his 20s, was brought to Naas General Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
“The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
“Gardai are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident.”
