Gardai appeal for information after Dublin shooting

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot and a vehicle set on fire in Dublin.

They were called to reports of a shooting in Coultry Terrace, Ballymun, just after 7pm on Sunday.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardai say the scene has been preserved for forensic examination and investigations are ongoing.

They say a vehicle was found on fire a short time later on nearby Kilbarron Road, which they believe is connected to the shooting.

They have asked witnesses to either incident, or anyone who was travelling in the area and has dashcam footage, to come forward.
