Two men have been arrested following the seizure of suspected cannabis with a street value of one million euro in Co Louth.
It came following an intelligence-led joint operation between gardai and revenue officers in Castlebellingham on Wednesday.
“Two males (aged in their 40s) were arrested by An Garda Siochana in connection with the investigation, and are currently detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a station in the Garda North Western Region,” a Garda spokesperson said.
The seized drugs are set to be analysed by Forensic Science Ireland.
