CONTESTED

A dog allegedly savaged and killed a number of sheep.

That’s the claim that was made at Naas District Court on Thursday, January 12, and relates to defendant David Galus, with an address given as Tully East, Kildare.

Judge Desmond Zaidan was told that it would be alleged the 20-year-old’s dog killed five sheep, and injured others, at Brallistown (which is located near Kildare town) on April 24 last.

This allegedly resulted in damages of around €900, gardaí claimed.

Defending solicitor David Gibbons said his client fully contests the accusations made against him.

Judge Desmond Zaidan adjourned the case involving Mr Galus to May 11 for hearing.
