Plans have been lodged with Kildare County Council (KCC) for the restoration of an agricultural area located in North Kildare.
Applicant Matthew Walsh is seeking planning permission from KCC for the development at Kilglass in Balrinnet, Carbury.
The proposed development would consist of the restoration of an area of a disused Sand and Gravel Pit, back to agricultural use.
According to the documents: "The proposed site covers approximately 6.4 hectares and approximately 116,000 cubic metres (185,600 tonnes) of uncontaminated soil and stone is to be imported under a Waste Facility Permit over a period of eight to ten years.
"A maximum of five loads per day will be delivered to the facility Monday to Friday; no waste will be accepted at the weekend or on Bank Holidays.
"The maximum annual tonnage to be accepted will be 20,000 tonnes so an Environmental Impact Assessment Report is not required."
The date received is listed as March 24 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as April 27 and May 18.
