Irish rugby legend and Children’s Health Foundation Ambassador, Rob Kearney, has returned to launch the annual Christmas Jumper Day.
Rob was joined by Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) patient Iarla Thompson, aged ten, from Galway, to kick off this year’s festive fundraiser.
The campaign raises vital funds for sick children in Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly hospitals and urgent care centres.
Speaking at the launch of the 2023 Christmas Jumper Day campaign, Rob Kearney said: "I am delighted to be a part of Children’s Health Foundation’s Christmas Jumper Day again this year.
"It is without doubt that funds raised through campaigns such as Christmas Jumper Day make all the difference for children and their families in CHI.
"This year, I’ve seen firsthand what a difference it makes."
Rob continued: "Christmas should be a magical time for children, so I would like to encourage supporters to sign up, hold a Christmas Jumper Day and raise much-needed funds for sick children in CHI hospitals and urgent care centres."
Iarla pitched in: "Don’t forget to sign up for Christmas Jumper Day!"
All funds raised will be put to work where they are needed most across CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly purchasing vital life-saving equipment and therapies for thousands of sick children.
