A communication boards has been installed in Prosperous Town Park.
The news was delivered to councillors at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting on Friday, January 5 last, by Kildare County Council.
According to the council’s website: "A communication board is a board with pictures that can be used as a way to share messages.
"The communication boards in our playgrounds have pictures of things in the playground, action words, feelings, and words that can be used to request, like 'more.'"
Upon being informed about the news, Cllr Farrelly said that he welcomed the news.
He thanked the council for installing the boards, and in particular, thanked Simon Wallace, the Senior Executive Parks Superintendent with the council’s Community & Cultural Section, for his work on the project.
Cllr Farrelly called the move a 'very positive and inclusive' one.
