Kildare County Council (KCC) was asked to outline the nature of its investment in Rathangan Industrial Estate, which was undertaken in Quarter 4 (Q4) of 2023.
Sinn Féin councillor Noel Connolly asked KCC about its role in the investment when he was present at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which was held on Wednesday, January 17.
An enquiry on the Rathangan Industrial Estate was raised by Cllr Noel Connolly.
In its report at the meeting, KCC had this to say: "The council has procured a contractor to undertake aesthetic enhancements (landscape clearing/ cleaning, painting, etc), delivery of new signage and some minor works (removal of bollards, etc) to the frontage of the four industrial sites in Kildare County Council's ownership, including Rathangan, Newbridge, Kilcullen and Celbridge.
"The works commenced in Q4 2023 and are expected to be completed in the coming weeks," KCC added.
