An Garda Síochána based in Newbridge are investigating a robbery incident which took place over the weekend.
When asked about the incident, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery that occurred on Station Road in Newbridge, County Kildare at approximately 8.40pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
"A male in his 20s has since been arrested.
"He was released from charge pending a file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
