A woman told a Naas District Court judge that her ex-boyfriend allegedly slammed her head against a wall in County Kildare.
The allegation was made by the woman during an in-camera (in private) application in the court, which took place on Thursday, Thursday, July 4.
The woman applied for an interim protection order from the court.
She told the judge that her ex-boyfriend had been 'controlling and physically abusive' towards her.
When Judge Zaidan asked her to give an example of him physically abusing her, she replied: "He banged my head off the wall."
It was heard that the woman is currently availing of domestic violence services.
The judge agreed to grant the woman an interim protection order, and adjourned the case to a later date for hearing.
