A housing organisation is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) for the change of use for a premises located in North Kildare.
An application lodged with KCC shows that Depaul Housing Association is seeking a change of use for the premises, which is located on Church Street in Kilcock
The description notes that the group is seeking permission 'for modifications to previously granted KCC Reg. Ref. 20/837 for change of use from a two-storey dwelling house, to provide two separate one-bed apartment units, at ground and first floors.'
Permission is also being sought 'to refurbish and add a two-storey rear extension to the existing two-storey house.'
The date received is listed as August 2 last.
The submission-by and due dates are listed as September 5 and September 26 respectively.
According to its website:" Depaul Housing is a subsidiary of Depaul Ireland, and is also an Approved Housing Body (AHB).
"Depaul Housing was set up in response to the urgent need to source suitable move-on accommodation for those accessing Depaul’s homeless services, as well as people who are living in other homeless services."
The organisation is also a registered charity regulated by the Charites Regulator, and subscribes to the Charities Governance Code issued by the Charities Regulator.
It has a registered Republic of Ireland address listed as 18 Nicholas Street, Dublin 8, County Dublin (D08 VCP7).
