Little Christmas Service of Remembrance

The death has occurred of Robert Deegan, Newbridge, Kildare / Athy, Kildare

Robert Deegan of Newbridge and Athy Co Kildare, who was killed while fighting with Ukrainian forces in Vovchansk on the September 17 2024, will have his life celebrated on Saturday, December 14 at 12 noon.

The ceremony will start in Newbridge Bible Church, Liffey Lodge, Roseberry, Newbridge W12 H 5E5, at 12 noon.

On completion of the Church ceremony, at 1pm approx, buses will be waiting to bring military, ex military & friends to give a final salute on the hill of Allen.

People who are unable to endure the 20-minute climb to the Hill of Allen can make their way to Maloney's Pub in Newbridge, where they can take refreshments.

There is no parking at the Hill of Allen, so the traffic will be marshalled by army personnel. You are advised not to take your car to the Hill of Allen. Buses will be provided.

The ceremony on the Hill of Allen should take approximately 1 hour.

On completion of the ceremony, the buses will take all people back to the Church in Roseberry, where they parked their cars.

There will be changing facilities for those who wish to shed their uniforms.

From there, military personnel, remaining family, friends, and comrades of Robert can make their way to Maloney's pub in Newbridge for refreshments where they can meet those who arrived earlier.

The family would like to thank everyone for the immense support, which enabled them to travel to Ukraine to bring Robert's remains home.

The death has occurred of Tom Foley, Clonmullion, Athy, Kildare / Dunlavin, Wicklow

Tom Foley. Clonmullion Terrace, Athy, Kildare. Formerly Dunlavin, Co Wicklow. Unexpectedly.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Bigid, partner Marion, brother Brian, daughter Stacey and grand-daughter Hope Alannah.

Tom will be sadly missed by his sons Brian, Leon and Bradley, daughters Jamiah, Orla, Naomi and Nicole, grandchildren Sharon, Molly, Evan, Logan, Blaine, Brody, Kyle, Mya, Saoirse, Carolyn, gSophie and Kayden. And dearly missed by his brothers Pat, Kevin. Declan, Colm, David, Dereck, Aidan and Alius, sisters Adrienne, Sharon and Aileen.

The death has occurred of Faye Moore Woodlawn, Allenwood, Kildare

Moore, Faye, Woodlawn, Allenwood, Co. Kildare, December 7 2024, peacefully, but suddenly, at home.

Sadly missed by her loving parents Fionnuala and Tom, brother Fionn, sister Faith, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday from 4-8pm, with prayers at 7pm.

Removal on Thursday at 10.30am to arrive at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Allenwood for 11am funeral mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane.

The death has occurred of Martin O'Brien, Celbridge, Kildare / Whitehall, Dublin

O’Brien, Martin – December 7 2024, (Celbridge, Kildare and formerly of Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin. (Peacefully), surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Thermann Mhuire, Celbridge.

Loving brother of Carmel, Imelda and Stephanie.

Predeceased by his beloved parents Ann and Tony, brother Seán, his wife Deirdre and auntie Ettie. Very sadly missed by his sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces Laura, Eileen and Christina, nephews Leo, Colin, Joe, Robbie, Stephen and Mark, grand-nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours and a special mention to his many friends and staff at St Raphaels in Celbridge.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, Dublin 17 on Wednesday afternoon 11th December 2024 from 2pm to 4pm.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of St. Brendan’s, Coolock arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am followed by Burial in Balgriffin Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to St. John of Gods, Kildare Services.
