Investigations by gardaí are ongoing after a car was stolen near the Kildare-Meath border.
Discussing the incident on KFM yesterday (April 23 last) was Garda Brian Carroll of Newbridge Garda Station.
He explained that a blue Mazda Demio car was stolen sometime between 12am and 1pm in Johnstownbridge on Thursday, April 17.
Gda Carroll added that the theft took place in the Dunfirth Park region of Johnstownbridge, and also provided the registration plate of the stolen car: 131-LH-3163.
In addition, he emphasised that gardaí in Kilcock are investigating the crime and "are canvassing the area for CCTV" in relation to the incident.
Gda Carroll concluded by urging anyone with information about this incident to contact Kilcock Garda Station on 01 675 7390.
When asked about this particular theft by the Leinster Leader, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating the theft of a car from a residential property at Dunfirth Park, Johnstownbridge in the early hours of April 17."
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
