With the overwhelming number of stories out there about the climate crisis, it can understandably cause a great deal of anxiety for people.
It is important to note, however, that although no one person or group has a solid, silver bullet solution to this crisis, one can still do something small to both ease the climate crisis and to enhance their understanding of the environment.
In the context of Kildare, for example, those who share these sentiments will likely be satisfied to learn that the Kildare Public Participation Network (PPN) has announced the return of its Climate Action Series for 2025.
According to the organisation, the Series aims to "empower communities towards a greener guture".
Kildare PPN elaborated "This vibrant three-day event features a variety of free workshops, talks, and experiences designed to educate and inspire communities across Kildare toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
"This year’s series will explore topics that matter to everyone, from reducing digital pollution and cutting household costs to biodiversity, fashion, and food, with sessions offering practical tools and real-life actions that participants can take home and apply in their daily lives."
The Series will be hosted in a variety of different venues, including Naas Library and Cultural Centre, Maynooth University, Maynooth Library and Leixlip Library.
Kildare PPN also listed a number of highlights for the event:
All events are free to attend and registration is now open.
Kildare PPN added: "Whether you're a seasoned environmentalist or just beginning your sustainability journey, there’s something in the series for everyone."
