Tributes have been paid to a Kildare gentleman who passed recently

Heartfelt tributes have flowed in for a Kildare gentleman who passed in recent days.

Ger Mooney, Johnstownbridge, Kildare passed on May 11 2025 peacefully at Mullingar Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his daughter Frances, son John and his brothers and sisters.

He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family: wife Elizabeth, children Christine, Catherine, Martin, Elizabeth, Geraldine, Jackie, Ger, Pauline, Ann, Paul, Martina, Teresa, Patrick, Raymond and James, sisters Bridget and Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Ger Rest in Peace.

Tributes paid on RIP.ie this week include: “Sincere sympathy to Lily and family on the sad passing of Ger. Also to his sisters Bridgie and Mary, and all his extended family and friends. May Ger's soul Rest In Peace.”

And: ”Sincere sympathy to Mrs Mooney and all the family, on the sad passing of Ger. Also all the grandchildren and great grandchildren, may Ger rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “To Mrs. Mooney and all the family, sincere condolences on the passing of Ger. May he Rest in Peace.”

And another added: “Condolences to the Mooney family at this sad time. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Ger will repose at his home this Tuesday from 4pm to 8.30pm with Rosary at 8.30pm.

His Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11.00am in St. Patrick's Church, Johnstownbridge followed by burial in Broadford cemetery.

The family would like to thank you for kindness and support at this sad and difficult time.
