ALERT: Stop and go measures implemented in South Kildare. File photograph
Stop and Go measures are due to be implemented by Kildare County Council (KCC) in one South Kildare region today (June 13).
KCC has said that it gives notice, "on behalf of Roadstone, that in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that the following junction will have stop and go system in place".
This system will be implemented at Srowland in Athy from Friday, June 13 to Friday, June 20, 2025 inclusive.
According to KCC, this system aims "to facilitate road maintenance works on this route".
"Traffic management will be in place with routes clearly signposted," KCC added. "Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained."
KCC concluded: "Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
