Championship favourites Naas, continued on their winning ways with a seven point victory over Maynoth in this evening's SFC Group B opening game at Cedral St Conleth's Park.
Naas led at the break 0-13 to 1-6 with Naas hitting three two-pointers in that half while Maynooth hit one and an exellenet goal from midfielder Ciaran Flanagan.
Maynooth Leveled up with a second goal from Paddy Maguire on 36 minutes but the champions responded with Darragh Kirwan cutting through and finding the net and from there on Maynooth were chasing and while they never gave up and in the end gave way on a final score line of Naas 1-23 Maynooth 2-13.
An impressive win for Naas but Maynooth, on this display will have a lot to say before this championsip is done and dusted.
