Kilcock SFC: Clane hold off late Kilcock rally

Clane Brian McLoughlin holds off the challenge from Kilcock Joseph Fitzmaurice during the 2025 Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship

Clane defeated Kilcock in the second game at Cedral St Conleth's Park in Group C of the SFC this afternoon on a final score line of Clane 1-21 Kilcock 3-11.

It was a game at different times looked like Clane would pull away but Kilcock refused to lie-down. The all-whites led at the break 1-12 to 0-9, the goal coming from Sean Tigh.

Kilcock came more into it in the seocnd hald but looked to be fighting a losing battle trailing 1-19 to 1-11 with 52 minutes on the clock. However the boys from the north of the county stuck to the task hitting two late goals from Brerndan Gibbons and could have had another when Mark Gibbons hit the upright.
