Speaking last Friday, Minister Heydon said, “There was much comment, and consternation, in the Moone and Timolin communities recently regarding the national pilot cycleway and road safety works which commenced recently.”
“Cllr. Ivan Keatley and I have been in contact with many people on this project, including the Moone Positive Action Group.”
“At a productive public meeting with the Mooney/Timolin community last week, we undertook to seek a workshop meeting for the local community with the design team and officials of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). As a result of representations that we’ve made to officials, they have agreed to our request to host a workshop with the public in Moone Hall on Tuesday next, 2 September, from 3-7pm.”.
Minister Heydon added; “I look forward to seeing many people drop in to discuss the project, to hear the rationale for it from the designers and officials and to highlight their perspective of its impact locally.”
