A €15m residential development in Kildare Town has been approved by Kildare County Council.
A planning application was submitted to the local authority on 14/03/2025 by Thoval Properties Limited for 66 homes located in the townland of Kildare and Whitesland East, Kildare Town.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning permission for the 1.89ha development was granted on September 9 2025.

The plans consist of: 16 three-bed semi-detached two-storey houses; two three-bed terraced two-storey houses; one two-bed terraced two-storey house; one no four-bed detached two-storey house; eight two-bed ground floor duplex units; eight three-bed duplex units first and second floor; 30 two-bed apartments in three storey blocks; access roads, public open spaces; and associated services.
The architect assigned to the project is Matt Barnes Architect.
