Naas were crowned UPMC Intermediate Hurling champions for 2025 with an excellent win over Maynooth on a final score line of Naas 2-18 Maynooth 1-14, at Cedral St Conleth's Park, Newbridge, this afternoon.
While Tom Walsh had Naas ahead early on before Maynooth settled down and went ahead 0-7 to 0-3 on 12 minutes.
However an excellent goal from Tom Walsh saw the boys from the county hit the front and extended the lead to 1-6 to 0-7 on 21 minutes and retained that two point lead to break 1-9 to 0-10.
A goal right from the resuption from Noah Farrell sent Naas on their way and they dominated for long periods and led 2-15 to 0-12 on 50 minutes.
Maynooth did come back hitting 1-2, the goal, a penalty ftrom Neil Delaney but it was Naas who held on to win on a final score line of Naas 2-18 Maynooth 1-14.
