Tributes paid after former Kildare restaurant owner passes away

The late Frank Fallon

Tributes have been paid to Kildare restaurateur Frank Fallon, who passed away. 
 
Frank and his wife Clare ran The Red House Inn between Naas and Newbridge from 1978 until their son Brian took it over in 1989.
Brian later opened Fallon's of Kilcullen. 

The Red House Inn was very popular with family celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and anniversary parties.
Many Co Kildare native have a fond connection to the famous hotel and restaurant. 
Frank's funeral mass place on Saturday at 11am at the Church of Our Lady and St. Joseph, Caragh, Co. Kildare.
Fallons of Kilcullen said on their Facebook page that Frank's legacy was woven deeply into the story of the Fallon family's hospitality business.

A tribute read: "Our heartfelt condolences to Clare, Fiona, Roisin, Brian, Aoibhin, Michael, David, Tony, Maree, all the grandchildren, relatives, and friends on the passing of Frank Fallon.
"Frank’s life and legacy are woven deeply into the story of the Fallon family’s hospitality, most notably through his stewardship The Red House Hotel.
"May Frank rest in peace, and may his family and friends find strength in the enduring legacy he leaves behind."

The death notice read:

Frank was a devoted husband to his life long love Clare, amazing dad to Fiona, Roisin, Brian and Aoibhin, beloved by sons-in-law Michael, David & Tony, and daughter-in-law Maree, as well as all his grandchildren Craig, Jordon, Kate, James, Dylan, Aimee, Molly, Ross, Ella, Jodi & Ava.

Frank will be sadly missed by his loving family, sister Anne (Lawlor), sister-in-law Pam, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 Frank's full and adventurous life will be celebrated in Waterford & Kildare. Join family and friends on Friday 10th October in Anchorage house, Circular Road, Dunmore East (X91VW67) from 4pm to 8pm.

His funeral mass will then take place on Saturday 11th October at 11am at the Church of Our Lady and St. Joseph, Caragh, Co. Kildare.

A Private resomation will take place on Monday.
