A member of An Garda Síochána (AGS) has detailed two separate robbery and theft incidents which both occurred at a train station in County Kildare.
Garda David Prendergast highlighted the two incidents when he appeared as a guest on a programme by KFM, which aired yesterday morning (October 15 last).
According to Gda Prendergast, both crimes occurred at Hazelhatch and Celbridge Train Station.
In the case of the first incident, a woman had her handbag stolen from her by a man who proceeded to flee the scene.
This incident took place at around 6pm on Thursday, October 9 last.
He also said that the woman's handbag contained an Apple Macbook laptop, JBL headphones and a leather wallet.

As for the second incident, Gda Prendergast explained that a man was approached by another man who asked him for money, and then asked if he could use the first man's phone.
Shortly after this, the first man was threatened by the second into giving up his money in the car park of the station.
After giving the perpetrator his money, the injured party managed to run to his vehicle, while the perpetrator also fled the scene.
This incident occurred between 8.10pm and 8.20pm on Monday, October 13 last.
Gda Prendergast urged anyone with information relating to either of these crimes to contact Celbridge Garda Station on 01 628 8222.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the theft incident, a spokesperson for AGS responded: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged theft incident that occurred at a train station in Celbridge, County Kildare on October 9 last at approximately 6pm."
The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.
When asked by the Leader about the robbery incident, the same spokesperson replied: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged incident of robbery from a person that occurred at a train station in Celbridge, County Kildare between the hours of 8.10pm and 8.20pm."
