Now that it has been one week since Halloween 2025, it is safe to say that the countdown for Christmas is on.
One school in County Kildare definitely thinks so, as it has just announced that it will host a carol service ceremony which aims to celebrate members of the local community.
Newbridge-based Patrician Secondary School, also known as the Patrician Brothers Secondary School, will host its first-ever 'Patrician Christmas' event in the nearby St Conleth's Parish Church.
According to a member of staff for the school: "On the night there will be performances from past and present staff, past and present students and the Newbridge Gospel Choir.
"All proceeds from the event will be going to the Newbridge Share Food group, which provides about 120 packs of food each week to people in the Newbridge Community that are finding things difficult."

They added: "While this is a coming together of our Patrician Community, it is hoped that at the same time we are helping those in need in our locality in the lead up to Christmas."
Tickets cost €10 and can be purchased from the School Office.
'Patrician Christmas' will take place on Wednesday, December 3.
It will begin at 7.30pm.
