Councillors representing the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) have agreed to receive a deputation from a local community group.
The decision was heard at the latest MD meeting, which was held on Friday, November 7 last.
At this meeting, Fine Gael Cllr Brendan Wyse, who is also the Mayor of the MD, motioned for those present at the meeting to "agree to receive a deputation from Allenwood Community Group in relation to traffic safety at Allenwood Cross".
His motion was seconded by his party colleague, Cllr Tim Durkan.
Kildare County Council responded through the report it presented at the meeting by telling Mayor Wyse that this would be a matter for the members to agree upon.
As such, the matter was put to the members, and it was subsequently agreed that the deputation should take place.
