As part of its ongoing ESG (environmental, social, and governance) initiatives, Sigma Retail Partners worked with the men’s shed team to design and construct bespoke bug hotels and bird boxes. These new features will enhance biodiversity across the retail park as well as providing safe, welcoming habitats for local wildlife.
The partnership highlights the value of working with skilled local craftspeople.
SRP says the dedication and expertise of the Naas Men’s Shed members resulted in beautifully crafted pieces that showcase the talent and community spirit at the heart of the group.
Jenna Culligan of SRP said: “We’re delighted to support this initiative and to work with such a passionate local organisation. Projects like this demonstrate how local collaboration can make a meaningful difference to both the environment and the community.”
SRP also said it looks forward to continuing its work with Naas Men’s Shed and delivering more initiatives that “bring lasting positive impact to communities across its retail parks.”
Naas Retail Park was built in 2005 and has eight retail warehousing units including Harvey Norman, B&Q and Currys - with a new occupier on the way for the former Carpetright unit. SRP claims to be Ireland's leading specialist retail asset management company and have “asset managed” the park since 2015.
It has 14 shopping centres and retail parks on behalf of their capital partners throughout Ireland worth more than €500m, with a combined floor area of over 2.3 million sq. ft.
