11 people on trolleys at Kildare's main hospital today

One hospital in the eastern region had no patients on trolleys

Kildare's Naas General Hospital advises patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service

Some 11 patients were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having come in through the accident and emergency department.

The least overcrowded hospital in the eastern region was Tallaght Hospital, where there were no patients on trolleys and the most overcrowded was St Vincent's with 33 patients on trolleys.

There was no overcrowding at Tullamore Hospital and the figure for Portlaoise was six
