Cllr Angela Feeney (LAB) has welcomed the National Transport Authority's announcement yesterday of proposed improvements and extensions to bus services across North Kildare to be phased in by the end of next year.

"These proposals include restoring the long lost night bus services to Naas and Newbridge and providing better links to Maynooth University and UCD for students and staff who may currently have to use a car", said Cllr. Angela Feeney.

'These proposals will provide a significant enhancement to service, if they are resourced properly, with services running as expected and appearing on tracking apps".

Cllr Feeney encourages current and potential future users of bus services in Kildare to take part in the consultation when it opens on the NTA consultation website.
